Biography
As a Junior Specialist on the MWFB’s Delta Biomonitoring Project, I perform a variety of surveys and research on the avifauna, herpetofauna, small mammals, bats, and mammalian mesocarnivores and herbivores living in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. My work also involves specimen preparation and curation, publications, and educational outreach through the Museum. I have a B.S. in Wildlife, Fish, and Conservation Biology from UC Davis, and as an undergraduate student, I was a paid museum intern focusing on curation, museum administration, specimen preparation, outreach and tours. As a museum field assistant, I helped monitor and band songbirds along Putah Creek and Bird haven Ranch. I was also an intern in the UC Davis Hummingbird Health Program where I worked in the field to help trap, handle, collect samples on over 150 live birds. I assisted with data management and learned to age and sex hummingbirds in the museum and helped maintain feeders.
