My main responsibility as the Putah Creek Biologist is running the Putah Creek Nestbox Highway (PCNH), where I supervise interns and band nestlings. Outside the nesting season, I work on a variety of projects including data analysis and writing manuscripts and reports related to the nestbox project. Currently, I am researching the breeding behavior of Ash-throated Flycatchers, a subject with little published research. I also conduct biomonitoring for birds, reptiles, amphibians, and mammals along Putah Creek and in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. Through the PCNH, biomonitoring work, and ongoing research, I hope to contribute to the conservation and ecological understanding of local wildlife.
