I started in MWFB as a remora intern in 2019 and officially worked as a student research assistant my senior year of college. I spent a lot of time in the specimen preparation lab producing various bird study skins, ranging from as small as an Anna’s Hummingbird to as large as an eagle. I was also a Putah Creek Nestbox Highway field leader and helped monitor and band local songbirds during their breeding season. After graduating from UC Davis with a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science and Management, I received my master's degree in Environmental Conservation Education from New York University and am currently working as an environmental educator at the Meadowlands Environment Center and the Turtle Back Zoo in New Jersey. I’m also a part-time bird taxidermist working with deceased pet birds and volunteering for the American Museum of Natural History’s Department of Ornithology to prepare more bird study skins. On top of all that, I draw as a freelance artist, working on both wildlife cute styles projects and bird field guide projects.
